@Nonilex I don't understand. Murder is a state charge. Why can't they both conduct investigations? It's not like it is a new thing to have parallel uncooperative investigations going on, though perhaps the degree to which they are at odds is greater in this case.
@Nonilex Independent investigations file follow the evidence and might see all those videos and accept that this was prima facie murder instead of Proud Boys "making a tough call".
They won't admit that's what they're afraid of but the whole point of the exercise is to demonstrate that the Gestapo has total immunity and we should all fear them. They are as lawless as we feared and since they can't earn respect, fear will do.

Before hearing the news, Ellison said he was still trying to reverse the #federal govt’s course.
“I’m still trying to say: Wait a minute, don’t do this stupid thing! Do not go forward with an exclusive, which would be an inherently untrustworthy investigation. Do what is right, do what is wise, do what is best for this country, & have an inclusive joint investigation that includes cooperation by state & local authorities,” he said.
