It can happen, but it's on our hands to improve.
Have you ever contributed to their public consultations?
It's open to everyone, not only Europeans.
Just pick one, on a topic you're passionate about.
@gvlx see that’s the assumption that when someone speaks English as their first language we’re “not European” and have to fight back with saying we are European and have been in the EU sionce 1973, we are not British and we did not leave the EU. I am more than engaged with the EU but it is is increasingly obvious they aren’t bothered if we live or die or are members or not
Sorry, I wasn't talking specifically to you.
On these platforms I *always* assume all my messages will reach more people than just the ones I interact with, so I try to convey all the relevant information that applies to a wider audience.
In the case of the previous message, I wasn't assuming _you_ aren't european (I not in the habit of verifying identities), I was assuming _most_ of the people reading this thread aren't.

Anyway, the important bit is that the European Commission's public consultations are open to everyone, everywhere.
It doesn't matter if your not european, or even a resident.
If your opinion might help the EC to make better laws, they want to hear it.
