in effect, grassroots Democrats ―which includes “progressives” and socialists― are the SECOND Democratic Party.
but in the aggregate the largest political party in the United States aren’t even independent (aka unaffiliated voters).
the largest political party in the United States are people who don't vote, either by choice or suppression.
