@ozoned yep #OSM is @openstreetmap! I am new to #PeerTube - can you do live streaming on it with #OBS?
@mvexel@en.osm.town PeerTube does support livestreaming and it can even save directly to the PeerTube channel. However, TubeFree.org doesn't have Livestreaming at this time, because I'd need someone to monitor channels and it's just me. 😊
I'm more than happy to set one up or help you set one up for you. It'd cost VPS fees obviously. IDK what you're looking for.
There's also #Owncast . This is what a lot of the #freeStreamers I know use to stream and then also record the Video and edit it or upload it to Peertube. And we can help you with any of that. 😊

Has anyone realized that you could post your videos to your Peertube and have YouTube pull them in via the Podcast RSS Feed? Or am I the only one that didn't realize this?
Which means you don't have to upload to YouTube AND Peertube. You can upload to Peertube and YouTube will grab it for you.
This of course only applies to those that WANT their content on YouTube. If you don't, that's totally fine. I'm doing this to advocate for the Fediverse so I think it's a necessary evil.
@FediTips@social.growyourown.services were you aware of this? If not, I know you keep a LOT of useful info, I can explain howbstep by step if you'd like. This is the kind of thing g that makes this all easier IMO.

I do not know if you have changed something in the hosting of the podcast version of Fireside Fedi but I cannot listen to it anymore.
My podcast application (Pocket cast) says that the header of the file is not correct.
Which means I cannot seek but worse, I cannot resume the episode where I left.
Are you aware of the problem ?

Just hopped on Twitch and I get an AD. OK, no problem. I'll ignore it.
This one I couldn't ignore. And advertisement for National Crypto Association.
I'm blown away. A nonprofit built for pushing a gambling mechanic and advertised on a game stream. How does any of this make sense?

This is what I love so much about the fediverse and PeerTube. Videos take up a lot of data and bandwidth, but we're able to support each other to keep it up and running without the need to compete. There's no need to bad-talk anyone, just support each other in this.
I'm pretty tech-minded, so I figured out how to get a storage server for $25/year, a domain name for $10/year, setup yunohost and install PeerTube. There is the option of self-hosting. It's not the easiest thing, but there is that option.
So, I thank you for providing the infrastructure, helping others get going, and inviting an inclusive host!

I'm here to help anyone else set up theirs. Matrix has a growing community for ActivityPub folks. Peertube included. Let's all grow and work together. If I don't know an answer, I know a place we can find it!
WOW! And they need the high rollers to show that yes YOU TOO can make it ... it's 100% gambling. Yes, you can hedge your bet by gambling long enough or have a trick, but it's still a gamble.
