Mastodon really needs a "followers-only" section to the profile bio, where you could put a line or two of text visible only to followers. Feels like that would work as a workaround to the sort of scraping likely used to determine if a profile is in compliance with these companies' rules.
I think this (RAM prices) will end up having an impact on Mastodon btw, unless they come down, as it will push up server costs. Mastodon is RAM hungry.

I finally got my kofi back after removing any links from my fedi account but was basically told I'm just not allowed to share it.
It's fine if I use linktree or my website to point to it, then point people to that, just not directly. It's absurd.

I, too, have been accused of being an "AI". I suspect it is largely due to my writing style as I take care to use good grammar and spelling, form carefully-crafted sentences, and use both em-dashes and Oxford commas. 😂
@PeterLG I'm not a native speaker so, from time to time, I use some tools to check my sentences or grammar. When I speak or use social media, I'm more direct and make mistakes.
I've done it for years, even before the AI started to be everywhere. But I don't use AI for writing. Or, maybe, I really am an AI powered coffee maker... 😆
