If you could snap your fingers and replace cars with any other existing mode (or two) of transportation鈥攃omplete with all the infrastructure needed鈥攚hat would you choose?
*note: it doesn't *have* to be practical.
Since Seattle is hilly and has a big North-South ridge, I'd go for a fast rail down the middle, and hanging gondolas from the train stations down into all the East鈥揥est neighborhoods. The rest would be mostly footpaths.

If it doesn't have to be possible with currently-available technology, teleporters. Need to get to London on short notice? Teleporter. Need to get to the grocery store? Teleporter. Need to empty your bladder? Lock onto the urine within your bladder, teleport that outta here.
