Long-awaited Bank Secrecy Act reform may finally be on the way

The current BSA framework is rooted in 20th-century concepts and approaches, which are not only inefficient and costly to administer, but largely ineffective.

Long-awaited Bank Secrecy Act reform may finally be on the way

It is long past time to revisit the regulatory regime implementing the Bank Secrecy Act. In a good sign, key elements of the Trump administration seem to be in alignment on reform.

This year I had four articles published across The Financial Brand and FinTech Futures. Taken together, they reflect a single theme I kept coming back to: banking is no longer being reshaped at the edges.

Like last year, I asked ChatGPT to write a “year in review” style blog. This is the result.
