Let's start with a gateway drug that got me back to producing. In addition to the previous remix of Shannon's "I Am" https://music.control.org/iam , this one was a pathway for me to get back at the studio desk and the drum kit after a brutal hiatus due to health collapse. It turned out to be the first step in a couple years fight that has amazingly escalated to multiple releases, live stream concerts, being open for donate what you can remix and sound design commissions and most importantly, if I wake up tomorrow, I'm going to make music with my friends.
@shannoncurtis and @hilljam are outstanding artists and damn fine humans. When me, a gloomy broken old industrial drummer said ahoy, may I endirtify your gorgeous anthems, wildly but not surprisingly they said let fly!
I rather enjoy merging my dark and dirty with something beautiful for what I hope is an aggressive and proactive take on beauty in the darkness. Don't paint me as an hopeful optimist or anything but maybe it's more of a sonic shoulder to lean on or a call to fight. And far out has it been cathartic for me.
