I'm having a difficult time knowing what to say. An older close relative is upset about current extreme weather events around the world.

I truly feel for them. But the unhelpful part of me is thinking "what did you think I was talking about when I said -for years- that the climate situation was dire, and as such, started taking personal action".

This relative doesn't believe me unless it's on the news, so it won't be helpful to send back information on climate action.
