Weird Tales vol. 11, no. 1 (January 1928)

Wow, so much going on here. Is the lightning coming out or going in? Real snake or part of the statue? What is that figure wearing exactly? Why does the Native American person have a golden tambourine? And are they playing it, or attacking with it?

Worlds of IF (May 1953)

I love the incongruity of the dinosaur in this scene. Or alien? Lizard creature? Sculpture/statue? And the urgency/danger conveyed. Are they stealing it? Protecting it?

Multiple figures in space suits are walking across the curved surface of a space ship, with light cast dramatically across them by what appears to be Jupiter, looming in the sky. Two of them are carrying a seated lizard-like creature, or possibly a sculpture, the size of a human.

Weird Tales vol. 31, no. 5 (May 1938)

Wow, just when I think Brundage has gone to eleven, you get this which goes to twelve. The race aspects, the kink, the very-near-nudity, the complete inability to understand how fabric works. Sheer genius.
