I really need to refamiliarize myself with #FreeBSD & friends. There are very few sane Linux distros (like #Devuan) left these days.
Tooting publicly what I recently said in a direct message:
I really, really want to see a linux distro that says,
"Ok, we're taking all of the components out there, picking a core set of needed components, and OWNING THEM. We will contribute upstream, fork when necessary, and will ship an absolutely complete and well-documented OS."
(Also, "We will not chase the latest trends, nor will we adopt the latest geegaw from Poettering, et. al., unless it actually fixes something that needed fixing.")

P.S., YES I BASICALLY MEAN BSD, but maybe with the Linux kernel and GNU utilities? XD
