There's a theory that the rain delay during game 7 of the 2016 Cubs World Series moved us into the bad timeline. Trump won right afterwards. The latest spin on that is that the #ChicagoBears winning the Superbowl this year could flip us back.
What I will add is that this is the 40 year anniversary of when the Bears last won, against the Patriots who also have a chance this year. And the Challenger blew up days later. A big event in US culture cause most kids saw it happen live on TV in school.
