One of them was about how the Bennetts' household wealth and income in Pride and Prejudice would have compared to the very rich and very poor in England at the time. She doesn't try to calculate how much they'd have in modern terms--that's not really a question with a precise answer for a lot of reasons--but there is one meaningful comparison with modern times that you can make: if you look at how much poorest make as a fraction of how much the richest do then you see that our society is much more unequal than England in Jane Austen's time.
