atmospheric river meanders over the state through Friday.
Periods of heavy rain are expected with significant impacts
«High Risk of Flash Flooding
Heavy rainfall will cause considerable lash flooding,
particularly along the southern slopes of the Transverse Range
on Wednesday, including the San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and
Sierra Madre Mountains. Landslides, ockfalls, and mudslides
are possible. Urban flooding i the metro areas of Southern
California will also be possible.

A prolonged heavy snow event is expected in the Sierra
Nevada, contributing to snowpack water storage but also
raising concerns for major snowload impacts. Travel may be
dificult to impossible over the high-mountain passes due to
snow and strong winds.

especially in the mountains where tree damage and power
outages are possible.
