@owncast (self-hosted livestreaming platform that integrates with the fediverse) is looking really good right now. There's been a lot of progress since I first heard of it.

@Gargron Used it on occasion and it has been nice with enough features. By default you definitely have to secure it (adjusting default passwords, keys, and also who has access etc etc) but a reliable choice.
I don't remember if it did have a way for users to act as relays like peer tube does though.
