It sucks we have to face a stark rise in fascism. But I am so grateful this resurgence of evil is, objectively, deeply incompetent.

It turns, out much of the #EpsteinFiles redactions were done by placing black boxes over the original text on the pdf. So you can still highlight, copy, and paste to recreate the original documents.

Simple copy/paste may bring down some evil people, hopefully even #Trump.

Take heart that the enemy is this incompetent.

@FantasticalEconomics If someone isn't comfortable with Python scripts you can open the PDF in Inkscape and just delete the black squares.

... Oboy. It was even simpler with Ghostscript:
gs -o result.pdf -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dFILTERVECTOR input.pdf

All vector graphics (i.e. black boxes) will be removed from the input.pdf file and the rest written to result.pdf.

@FantasticalEconomics

Alas, the Nazis were also very incompetent, and this did not stop them.

@FantasticalEconomics Ooh, that Reddit post contains a link to a python script that can process whole documents!
