@ricci You have to pretend to not be bothered if The Register writers describe you as a boffin or not.
It is a bit like learning the art of flying as described in the Holy Books of H2G2 - in short, you have to throw yourself at the ground and manage to miss it.
See one of the gospels on the subject written by one of the many H2G2 disciples:
@ricci Perhaps also adding references including, but not limited to Monty Python, H2G2 and Terry Pratchett's books in the information you release to the world regarding your undoubtedly amazing boffinesque achievements would help a lot in the pursuit of your own personal Holy Grail.
It might also help to chuck in a few oblique references to the superior nature of the UKs domestic electrical system standards.
