In case you missed it, the Guppe discussion group system has permanently closed down.

However, there is a replacement discussion system run by Fedigroups.social. I've tried to list the active public FediGroups at:

- To follow a listed group, copy-paste its Fediverse address into the search box in Mastodon, then click "Follow".

- To post to a group, mention its account in your post.

@FediTips i personally use ovo.st as fedigroups doesn't have the same "instant group creation" thing and the groups it creates aren't actually proper groups. though to each their own!

I have a question:

I still see some toots tagged to a.gup.pe group accounts. Is it simply a waste of characters and time, or are there any imaginable unexpected consequences and they’d better stop tagging? 🤔
