Not just to respond to the Trump tariffs: if one wanted to get to digital sovereignty, the repeal of anti-circumvention laws is practically required, or the network effects likely will turn out to be insurmountable.

I love pluralistic's idea here, but I'm worried that world leaders will be too afraid to seize this golden goose for years.
I desperately hope I'm wrong, and after one or two bold leaders take the initiative, the others see the benefits and follow suit.
