I’ve been standing here for hours…
My legs can barely hold me, my back aches,
but I have no choice but to wait.
The line is long, the cold is harsh,
and the hunger is even worse.
I’m not asking for much…
Just a meal to ease the hunger,
or a small act of kindness to lighten this pain a little.
