I really need to replace my damned TV, the glitching is really annoying the crap out of me. On the other hand, I just do not want to go through all the decision making process and actually pay for a new TV. Grr.

I feel like it's even possible to repair or replace some internal board to resolve it, but if I fuck that up or can't do it, I have no lounge TV for a bit.

This is just venting, I'll figure something out, but urgh I just don't need another thing to deal with right now that I can't actually ignore because it bugs me every time I sit on the couch to relax a bit.

@mike Our 10+ yo telly turns off when it plays too loud sounds, then comes back up.

I fixed it once by opening it, looking at it, and a liberal application of air duster, as nothing was obviously wrong. That worked for a while.

When it did it again, we just got a soundbar. Telly now makes no sound to upset itself.

All this to say, yes, it's a pain. Particularly if you want to hold on to that sweet dumb TV. But it's a constant reminder you need to take _an_ action, whatever it is...
