A field effect transistor works very simply, by using an electrical field to open or close a path. There is nothing hard to understand about that.
A bipolar junction transistor (which is a less common sort nowadays), I forget exactly what is going on in that. But it is similar.
What the ‘quantum’ stuff involves is that there are a lot of EMPIRICAL LAWS that are called ‘quantum’. They are like Boyle’s Law before invention of the Ideal Gas.

@chemoelectric Sorry, I don't think you answered my question. I can't see where you say in (the wrong as you see it) quantum mechanical model of a transistor entanglement is involved?
@amca There is no quantum mechanical model of a transistor. Transistors are modeled as electrical field devices.

@chemoelectric I'm sorry if I have been perceived as sea lioning. It isn't my intent. If you feel like giving me advice on how I can avoid that perception, that would be appreciated, please.
@chemoelectric As far as I understand it, "sea lioning" involves arguing in bad faith, which is definately not what I am doing. I am asking in good faith and have been open with you that I disagree with you. I am just an insanely curious person who asks so many questions that it can feel like an interrogation to people. I have no expectation that people engage with me and answer all my questions if they don't want to. They just have to tell me to shut up.
