Auf dem #39C3 hat @marcuwekling heute den Digital Independence Day #DidIt vorgestellt. #Wikimedia ist auch dabei und empfiehlt, weg von Big Tech und zu Alternativen wie #Mastodon zu wechseln.

The .day top-level domain is though managed by Google : https://icannwiki.org/.day
Should not be a big issue for now (as everyone would use their provider DNS and Google does not see this), but just to keep in mind.
BT Free is a non-profit organization founded by @ozoned@btfree.social . It's goal is for digital privacy rights, advocacy and consulting. This goal will be attained by hosting open platforms to allow others to seamlessly join the Fediverse on moderated instances or by helping others join the Fediverse.
