"Carbonated Swamp Warbler" sounds like something you drink when you visit New Orleans and then you don't remember the rest of the trip.
But, it's actually one of a handful of birds that Audubon painted but no one can seem to find it anymore.

@futurebird I wonder if it was painted from a specimen? Don't know anything about Audubon's techniques but AFAIK everything they described back then had been shot out of the sky or tree it was sitting in.

@futurebird I read that as "carbonated swamp water" and thought "no, that is most definitely *not* something I'd drink, ever." And it's worth mentioning that I *have* drunk naturally carbonated mineral spring water, *very* mineral. It wasn't too bad until I tried keeping it in a water bottle to drink later.
