No surprise visits from the ‘No Internet’ T-Rex this Christmas 🎄🦖

While you enjoy the festive fun, we’re keeping you connected 🎁

With EU roaming rules, you can use your mobile data across our border-free Union just as you do at home, at no extra cost!

And, with the WiFi4EU app, you can also enjoy free, high-speed WiFi in public spaces across Europe.

Stay close to what matters as you enjoy a well-deserved year-end break ✨

A pixelated black T-Rex wearing a Santa hat stands beside a decorated Christmas tree with ornaments, a star on top, and a wrapped present. Below, the text reads “Wi-Fi Christmas and Happy New Signal!,” with a small EU flag in the corner.

@EUCommission nobody wants to use roaming or the internet anymore because YOU want to spy on everyone with #chatcontrol.

@EUCommission Staying connected is going to be increasingly hard if policies like age-gating, chat control and digital omnibus are allowed to pass. The Commission seems to have spent the past year actively trying to prevent European digital sovereignty.

@EUCommission As Signal might stop providing its secure messaging service in the EU thank to #chatcontrol, this "Happy New Signal" sounds like "Happy Global Surveillance". https://mastodon.world/@Mer__edith/112535616774247450

@EUCommission So wait, I need an “app” to access WiFi? Then it’s about as much use as a chocolate teapot 🤷‍♂️ What next, I’ll need a horse with me to access public transport? 🤔

@EUCommission The "no internet" T-Rex comes from Google Chrome, you should avoid promoting an hegemonic tool that systematically spies on its users, from a monopolistic company that is dangerous for the democracy.

@EUCommission What are the most 'EU recommended' alternatives to US platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, or browsers like Chrome?

@EUCommission Per Natale volevo che l'UE mettesse una stretta ai software closed source, anzi, che li abolisse.
