recently i tried to "fix" my washing machine (remove hairband from pump).

this involved trying to pull it out from under the counter... by the door handle (oops, new interlock required!). later, my uncle explained that 1. you can make the floor in front of the machine a little slippy to help it move, and 2. open the detergent drawer to get a decent grip to pull on.
