As citizens, US citizens have the right, but also the ethical duty to vote, and to get informed before, i.e. to vote as an informed citizen. Trump just harmed your country and global politics. He betrayed ordinary people‘s trust and interests. He went to war, while having promised peace. #nofascism #noGOP
yes, but a little more nuanced than that
you are correct that the root of not voting is lazy entitlement
but they lie to themselves: they think they are making a brave moral stand, then they excuse their privileged indolence
there is no such thing as morality without action, even just voting
meanwhile, "morality" without action is nothing more than ego masturbation
nonvoters don't have an ideological position
they have a self-serving psychological position
