If you're an open source dev who wants to contribute to a worthwhile fedi project, I'm sure the folks at #Sharkey would appreciate any help offered. Sharkey is the closest thing to Firefish we have, they've been keeping the project alive for several years now, and are currently understaffed/lacking free time - but the project is very much alive and they are quick to respond to support questions. Just thought I'd put this out there, I am not affiliated with Sharkey in any way.
