I almost forgot to post this #FediPuzzles graphic for the weekend!

I'll give the answer on Sunday as I think this one's a bit tricky, might need some research time - and that's also when it's most relevant (although the connection is.. a little obscure!).

#FediPuzzles

What two words, significant (but only vaguely) to the 11th of January, are represented by this code?

11011111
111111
010111
011101

1101
0111
1111
01

So the answer is "YOUR NAME".

Today (11th Jan) is "Learn your name in morse code day", according to some random calendar sites. So I took that quite literally, and encoded "your name" into Morse code:

-.-- --- ..- .-. / -. .- -- .

But that would be too easy, I thought, so I converted it into a binary representation as per the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morse_code#Digital_storage

Here "01" is a dot and "11" is a dash, giving the numbers above.

Clue 1 was a link to the calendar website which has all these obscure days listed for January.

I don't think this one is a "real" celebration as I couldn't find any evidence of it elsewhere, but I quite like all these random days so you might want to hang onto that link for future puzzles.

Clue 2 was simply my name "KEEF" encoded in morse code.

@keefmarshall I misread "Heritage Treasures Day" as "Heritage Trousers Day" and now I want to know what Heritage Trousers are.

@keefmarshall ahh, I see :)

Okay, now that I'm pretty sure I know the answer, I'll share the red herring that led me astray!

Read the second column bottom-to-top and right-to-left:

10 = 2 = B
1111 = 15 = O
1110 = 14 = N
1011 = 11 = K

(of course the *left* column has no such pattern)

@jmorahan it does, however, point a path to future puzzles... Hmm.. I wonder 🤔
