#StewartRhodes, the founder of the #FarRight #extremist organization the #OathKeepers, was seen on Capitol Hill on Thursday outside of the hearing room where former special counsel #JackSmith is testifying before the #House #Judiciary Committee.

Rhodes was previously convicted of #SeditiousConspiracy & sentenced to 18 YEARS in #prison for his actions related to the #Jan6, 2021 #insurrection at the US Capitol.

His closed door testimony came out on New Year’s Eve.

This is happening now broadcast live so it’s most likely we’ll see transcripts produced by news outlets before the government releases one.

On #Jan6, 2021, over 140 law enforcement officers were assaulted, #JackSmith plans to tell #Congress, “a fact we should never forget.”

“Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President #Trump engaged in criminal activity. If asked whether to prosecute a former President based on the same facts today, I would do so regardless of whether that President was a Republican or a Democrat.”

The questioning by #GymJordan about #CassidyHutchinson was made-for-TV drama.

#JackSmith didn’t need to characterize whether he “thought” Hutchinson was a liar.

Her testimony was #hearsay. Hearsay does not hold up in #court. That’s all he had to say.

Unfortunately Jordan actually found a way to politicize Smith’s measured response that he hadn’t made a final decision on a witness list.

Also the grandstanding performative courtroom drama behavior of the #congress members is quite heavy handed. #JackSmith who has repeatedly been described as measured & calm is coming off a little stiff especially because he keeps being interrupted. He needs to come back at them like they are hostile witnesses.
