If Trump were literally being paid (or blackmailed) by Putin to destroy the U.S., he would not have done anything different than what he has done for the past year.
It's impossible to overstate how bad it is that the U.S. has withdrawn from WHO. Just insanely bad.

The important thing to understand about how bad the destruction has been is that even if we kick Trump and the GOP out of power in 2026 and 2028—which is, frankly, unlikely—and even if we manage to keep the GOP out of power—even more unlikely—we can't just quickly put back everything they've destroyed. In an ideal world, it will take generations to fix what they broke. In our world, it's probably impossible.
