I just watched this week's new episode, and loved it! This was a truly excellent episode. I loved that Reymi stopped being a bully and a jerk long enough to truly help Jay-den with his fear, and how he did it. I'm glad Jay-Den and Mir recovered their friendship at the end. I absolutely loved Lura Thok's talk with Jay-Den, where she completely changed his perspective on the things his family had done. I really like the solution Jay-Den came up with about the planet, and that he was the one to sell it to the Federation. I was a little worried that Starfleet might not be able to hit the right balance on losing the battle on purpose while being believable and not having casualties. I think the Klingon leader grinned when they showed up and threatened him for encroaching on Federation territory--a small, Klingon grin while facing away from his crew. I was thinking Chancellor Ake and the Klingon leader would find a way to spend the night after that battle together. Maybe they did. I'm really glad that Trek revisited a well-known species we haven't heard about since 800 years ago (Klingons) and the outcome for them was not the obvious one. Who expected the Klingons to be in diaspora, living in refugee camps, and down to 8 houses, on the brink of extinction? Not me. I was really pleased that when Jay-Den started talking about Klingon culture, he started pronouncing names in good Klingon pronunciation. And Lura Thok pronounced the name "Klingon" as tlhIngan, as it should be. If we're not going to get serious amounts of Klingon language (tlhIngan Hol) like in Discovery, at least people can get coached to pronounce a few words well. That was an excellent episode. #StarTrek #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy
