@lina Would you be able to add alt texts to your images? 🙏 Even if it's just simple design stuff like this, alt text doesn't need to "describe" the image to a visually impaired user as much as it needs to communicate its information in a non-visual way. So for this one, you could just have the alt text be "Releasing Spout2 on Linux," and that would be good by the AFB's standards!
@moshimotsu I usually just say "stream thumbnail" since the information is redundant with the text of the post anyway, but this time I rushed it because it was a guerrilla stream, sorry!
@lina Oh no need to apologize! It's dope that you already do it regularly; I just did some work with AFB over the summer and have been super aware of visual accessibility stuff ever since, and I always like to remind people out and about that alt text is super important. Mistakes happen!
I feel like there's an admin setting on Mastodon to require alt-text before a photo post is made? Or maybe I'm making that up.
