Waiting for my Uber to the doctor's for my pain person appointment.
No idea what to expect. Quite nervous. Also running on 5 hours sleep and an intensely stressful day yesterday.

The pain practioner was great, she is going to prescribe paracetamol and codeine. Told me to take codeine a max of twice a week. Also referring me to a physio.
There is nothing else they can do, recent research on antidepressants for pain show they mostly don't work, add in ND and no point trying (also I'd prefer not to).

Also she thinks I'm very Autistic. And that I'm hypermobile but cos I used to be strong my muscles compensated for the joint bullshit - hence magically now hypermobile with long covid.
The hypermobility stuff is hitting me really hard, specifically because I feel like if I could manage exercise again then I could strengthen my muscles to support my joints again. But I can't.
It's another thing long covid has taken from me.

does anyone in South Wales / VoG know what the situation is with GPs prescribing fitness stuff?
I'm pondering swimming to rebuild muscle strength and reduce the hypermobility pain, but wondering if it's worth me mentioning to the GP tomorrow in case they can prescribe sessions for me?
Staring down a Fibro/long covid based on most bloods coming back fine.
Possibly hormonal fuckery going on but they are weird results. He is referring me.
Iron level is 25 (normal range is 15 to 300.)
Oestrogen lower than the lab can count.
LH & FSH normal (with low oestrogen they should go up...)
I am... every single emotion and don't really know what to do with this information.
@alexisbushnell Sending gentle hugs
I don’t think I’ve got anything helpful I can share. It’s fab you have support for your pain, though. It sounds like you’re exploring some other useful options for you, too. I feel you on the confusion and all the emotions. Had different health stuff come up and do the same to me recently.
@alexisbushnell The exercise referral scheme? Still running as far as I know. https://phw.nhs.wales/services-and-teams/wales-national-exercise-referral-scheme/
@alexisbushnell Very best of luck for a useful appointment!
