All of the Spy Cops stuff is in that liminal space, which they probably justify at the Met by filing it under their "counter-terrorism" brief, but how they could do that with Grenfell is beyond ...

@BackFromTheDud The entire Met needs pulling to bits and reforming from the ground up. I'm rarely more than wearily unsurprised by what they get up to, but fucking Grenfell?!?!?

This smacks of someone with a lot to lose sidling up to a Police Commander at the Golf Club and saying "I wonder if you could have a look at this group who've been traumatised by a fire I may be in some way responsible for?"
