Dear parents;

Please do not expose your 3 to 6 year-old children to the news.

Do not have the TV news on when they’re in the room with you. Put them to bed and watch the 10 o’clock news or the 11 o’clock news

Do not have the news on the radio when you are in the car with them

I had more than one four year-old approach me this morning to tell me about the nightmares they’ve been having

One was describing in high detail about how the “police“ came -in his dream- dragged him out of the house, and were “mean” to him.

As adults, we can’t process this trauma very well: don’t expose your young children to it
Thank you-
Signed,

Your child’s teacher (not psychiatrist)
