@jonesmurphy Essentially, in a fair world, I would agree with you. But I don't know where we are going to get those better voters from. Do you? Do we exile all the bad ones, and import some better ones?
I really don't have an answer to how to get better voters.
So, in the meantime, maybe better leaders might help a little.
@Remittancegirl @jonesmurphy I'm not convinced we need better voters. I think we need better media, I think we need to get money out of politics -- we pretend British public life is not #corrupt, but in fact massive corruption is everywhere -- and we need to greatly reduce the power of party machines, especially the whips.
In our 'traditional' party machines, good politicians are prevented from rising to the top, as we've just seen with Andy Burnham (who I don't support, but is a bit better).

@jonesmurphy @Remittancegirl They don't vote for the media. Even the Daily Mail only averages half a million copies. GB News is 'more popular' than the BBC or Sky but still gets only 147,500 viewers for its top programme.
There is marginal public appetite for ant of this media. We get not what the public wants, but what the #Kleptocrats think it in their interests to pay to provide.
