@JoBlakely these types are the reason why I rarely speak about spirituality in public, even though it is the most important topic in my life.
unfortunately, the kind of popular spirituality that we see in capitalism is all about our deep disconnect from real spirituality, from oneness. As opposed to being about something that I would call spiritual. Its just a symptom of where we are. And yet, there is a lot of real spirituality going on. And a lot of innocent seekers and a lot of selfdiscovery. It's just not marketable or glitzi or heroic.Stay clear of the angloamerican capitalist version of it. And you can experience great change and healing. The soul is not for sale.
@Tamtam exactly. It feeds the ego instead of Oneness-caring of the whole, denies the future for a now of illusion of peace, upholds status quo, does not connect with the whole. It’s self absorbed, but does not actually build the person’s integrity or work on sustainable structures either physical or metaphysical, inside or outside the person. It gives an illusion of working on yourself, without actually doing anything.

@JoBlakely well. Where there is need there will be a supplier. It's a symptom. These kinds of gurus will go away as more people discover their own , real spirituaity.
It's upsetting, when you first discover that things are functioning no different in this field than anywhere else, ( including abuse of children, exploitation of women )but then, why should they? How?

Not suggesting Oprah's connected; merely pointing out her huge blind spot when it comes to creeps. See also Hillary Clinton.
