If you want to #boycottusa here are three dead simple things you can do today:
1. Help one friend install Mastodon on their phone. Every time they are here, Zuckerberg loses ad revenue because they are not on the Faceempfänger.
2. Uninstall Prime Video or Disney Plus and replace it with Sky Showtime, so you no longer support Bezos, et al. Keep Netflix.
3. Put a cover on your phone, so it lasts longer — my iPhone is from 2020, and I am not buying another iPhone as long as "Trump Cook" is CEO.
@randahl my husband has an iphone6. It works outside of many apps not able to run. I have an iphone 10 thru insurance. 512g. I did not pay for that much storage but will never give up(mine was 128 with ample storage)Check mate. There’s nothing beneficial to upgrade or diverge from current path. They have nothing for me and there’s nothing I want from them. Honestly, 3tv series in full and 60 movies without data needed. As long as it’s chargeable, I got everything I always wanted.

What I miss, however, are hints regarding financial issues. Everybody who has equity funds could shift money away from the US to Europe. If many people do it, for sure it will be noticed.

@randahl Just cancel most streaming services. You do not need 3 of them simultaneously. Subscribe for one month if you want to watch something. Cancel immediately after subscribing.
Assuming you have 3 subscriptions at 130kr each, you’ll save roughly 3000kr per year.

Install Evolution and uninstall Outlook
Install Firefox and uninstall chrome/edge/safari
Terminate dropbox/OneDrive/Google drive and buy acces to a Nextcloud service of your own choice.

@randahl Point 3 - buy a European repairable phone: Fairphone. Replace stock Android with /e/OS and Alphabet get a cut in their income…
Fairphones are long lasting and you can replace screen, camera and battery.
And yes, I struggle with the thought of replacing my Apple products…
@frankps I do too. I will probably have to upgrade my Mac this year because I need the extra GPU power for video production. But for the first time in my life, I am not looking forward to it.
Tim Cook's sucking up to Trump has killed all my enthusiasm for the brand, and the glass look of the new MacOS Tahoe certainly has not helped either.
