An excellent summary by the ABC (I don't get to say that very often) reminding us the politicization of the Bondi attack continues with this #Herzog visit.
Assessments the incident was a politically motivated attack on Israel (is, not purely antisemitic) are being confirmed as the Australian govt elects to deprioritise Jewish safety in favour of expressing State solidarity with Israel.
It makes the obvious case one of the greatest risks to Jewish safety is their assumed association (per Zionist doctrine) with the rogue State of Israel, and hence vicariously responsible for its conduct.
This is clearly as wrong as it is dangerous, and is another reminder that in the calculations of the Albo govt Jewish and community safety comes second to solidarity with the extremists in Israel.
"But the Israeli president's visit in the next few days has now not only crystallised the divisions in the community. Very unfortunately, it has also represented a direct link between events that, until now, there have been considerable efforts to keep separate in the wake of Bondi.
That is, it has linked Israel's actions in Gaza to the antisemitic killings in Bondi."
