WhatsApp is not blocking anyone to register a "business account" and create an AI assistant that would provide chat based things like current Meta AI does. I am a developer that knows what you can develop on top of WhatsApp and I guarantee you that creating AI enabled WhatsApp accounts it is possible and easy. What do you say that Meta is blocking and not doing actually?

“Opt out” is not a solution when defaults dominate the user experience, and therefore shape our society most.
The social web is still a highly toxic, abusive and manipulative place. The EU isn’t ignoring the problems, but this has been festering for decades now and solutions don’t seem to be as proportionate or targetted as the problem.
