Hey, so, what password manager do people recommend right now? I know KeePassXC started accepting LLM code a little while ago so I don't want to recommend it any more, but we actually don't know the scene at all.

@packbat This is the first I've heard of it.

And reading a summary, it's hard to understand their accepting slop templates for code and still saying there's no slop in their codebase.

If they just used it for review I'd think it mildly irresponsible given LLMs' contribution to the climate crisis, but there being code in there written by Hallucination Engines kills it. I'd love to find an alternative.

Ah, reading more before I post, their claim is "no AI features".

Sigh.

KeePassXC Clarifies AI Policy: Used Only in Development, Never in the App

KeePassXC’s developers explain that AI helps with code reviews and small pull requests, but never appears in the KeePassXC codebase.

@mason @packbat Sadly even the Linux kernel is accepting slop contributions nowadays.

@Cal @packbat There are still projects keeping out the slop. NetBSD and FreeBSD are both no-slop.
