The Spanish government has asked the public prosecutor to open a criminal investigation into X, Meta, and TikTok over the creation and dissemination of sexualised deepfakes via their AI tools.

Elon Musk's Grok AI tool has channelled most of scrutiny over sexualised deepfakes but Spain's PM eyes a wider net.
