If you want to deal in absolutes then yes, you're right. But you're getting away from the main point. We can all hope Labour take a softer line on immigration, but we can all absolutely expect Labour to call out Restore Britain's mass repatriation programme.

@ProjectFearlessness @simon_brooke @abesibe @markhburton how is this fantasy? It's exactly what the democratic party did in the US, they got the republican party to author an immigration bill, and then ran with it as their signature immigration policy.
If Labour were offering a totally different kind of approach, then they could push back hard and disavow Restore's ideas on that basis. Since Labour's whole thing now is fascism-lite, at best you'll get a mealy mouthed "well we wouldn't go quite that far," but more likely they'll take it as permission to careen even further right than they already have.

Restore's immigration policy is so extreme that only about 2-3% of the U.K. population support them. And you think Labour are going to copy them? Really?
