All of the Mystery Inc. gang's parents (even Scooby's) have been shown over the years. Some conflicting with others, as continuity's not the strongest, or "alternate" versions like "Mystery Incorporated." Apparently they don't mind their kids endlessly chasing "supernatural" monsters/criminals.
The 80s Superboy story sees the Kents visiting relatives in Coast City, where they meet a teenage Hal Jordan. Smallville here is explicitly referred to as an east coast town near Metropolis (they fly out of Metropolis' airport), per pre-Crisis versions; it's not moved to Kansas until Byrne's reboot.
