@newsguyusa I don't know the specifics of the US FCC, much less the Chair, but I'm willing to bet that the (usual, not a fascist term of office) policy is, set law and policy, and otherwise stay the hell out of it.
Also, what's with that whole "small government", "free market" bullshit that Republicans like to tout? If broadcasters don't want it because their audiences don't want it, that's the market speaking, and government should shut it's trap. Right, Republicans?

Does Carr realize that many folks packed up the bunny ears years ago? Not too many watch over the air tv or listen to over the air radio. Correct me if I’m wrong, because I am unsure. The FCC doesn’t have control over streaming platforms.
