Compost nutrient testing—is that something that needs a lab to do, or could backyard farmers hope to hack something up on their own? (I've never thought about testing compost specifically, but the few soil/water testing services I've found (not very-)locally are prohibitively expensive.)
I'll go look for things to read up about it (but the first few search results already look like… well, something I wouldn't want to put in my compost bin 😬).
@amenonsen I'm not actually sure how they're going to be doing it, it's these guys coming in with a stall https://soilecologylab.co.uk/soil-biology-testing/ so I assume it'll be something they can do at the time with indicators or something rather than something that has to be taken away to a lab. I'll have a poke around
