Situation: A rapidly intensifying coastal low will bring a major winter storm to the Mid -Atlantic and Northeast Sunday –Monday (Feb 22 –23). Heavy snow with snowfall rates of 1 –
2"+/hr and strong coastal winds may produce blizzard conditions from the Delmarva Peninsula through coastal New Jersey, the N ew York City metro/Long Island, and into southern
New England. Dangerous travel is expected, with significant impacts to commutes across major metro areas and anticipated road closures, especially along coastal corridors and
higher -elevation roadways. All lifelines are currently stable with jurisdictions in a pre -impact posture; there are no significa nt reported impacts to Safety & Security,
