I live in Centro up on a higher floor, great view… & Jeff woke me up to tell me there were columns of smoke going up all over the city. One colectivo bus got burned a block away, and even some cars in old town, the Romantic Zone, heart of tourist district. I think it’s mostly over now but hoooooly shit
At least the church (the iconic crown-topped one) didn’t get targeted, these are god-fearing narcos

I thought it was over but I’m seeing several new smoke columns, another huge one on the malecon & another towards the zone romántica. Eerie quiet with occasional vehicle explosions. Fuuuuuck this is so bad
I don’t wanna spread false info, I’m not hearing *bombs* I’m hearing vehicles on fire, gas tanks blowing, tires popping, that kinda sound. And what sounds a lot like random gunshots but that could be vehicles as well.
