Hey lazyweb, what’s a good streaming setup for doing eg a class with an interactive whiteboard? Preferably $0, runs on MacOS, and I have a reasonable VPS at my disposal.

Ok so OpenBoard for whiteboard looks pretty neat, OBS Studio I gather everyone is using for doing the host stream, but what about the bit that sends the host’s stream to others? Just use twitch, or is there something better that I can arc up on my VPS?
Owncast is a federated, open source tool that accepts a stream from e.g OBS and broadcasts it to many people. It has an interactive chat feature (which you can turn off).
I've never used Twitch but I gather it's a similar thing, just free and open.
We use it for musician live streams (see Gravitons and party.bonkwave.org among others), and it's what #TIBtv uses to stream as well.
